Overview

This is a simple example circuit showing the triggering of the RCT or reverse conducting diode. The main difference between the SCR and RCT is that the RCT is able to conduct in the reverse bias condition too even without triggering. Triggering is required only for the conduction of forward-bias condition of the RCT.
