Overview

Find the value of shunt resistor R. Current through 200 mA is given. In solving this problem first using Ohm's law to find voltage across the shunt resistor. From that voltage across the other series resistor is found and again using Ohm's law, current through that resistor (which is also total current) is found. Finally the current through the resistor R is the diffference between total current and current through the parallel resistor.
