Full-wave rectifier

comments powered by Disqus

A rectifier converts the input ac signal to dc. A full-wave rectifier has two diodes, and two supplies which are out of phase so that when one is positive other is negative and vice versa. For each half-cycle, each of the diodes is on. No matter which half-cycle, the output current flows only in a single direction across load.
